What is PULSE® Pre-Prep®?
This is our organic seed priming-only product, offering all the advantages of primed seeds, without a pellet. When precision distance between seeds is not a primary concern, PULSE® Pre-Prep® is often selected. Examples of this type would be the planting of a crop using a scatter shoe arrangement or any application when seed drop during planting is accomplished without the need or benefit of mechanical single seed separation.
PULSE® Pre-Prep® is used to prevent thermal dormancy in certain species.
Guards Against Light and Heat Dormancy in Certain Crops
Light sensitivity and heat sensitivity are significant issues for some plants, especially lettuce. Pre-Prep® overcomes the issues of photochrome-induced dormancy.
Decreased Germination Time
Seeds treated with PULSE® Pre-Prep® will decrease the time necessary for germination and subsequent emergence to occur.
Stand Uniformity
PULSE® Pre-Prep® can improve the stand uniformity to facilitate production management and enhance uniformity at harvest.
No Pellet
The PULSE® Pre-Prep® process does not add a pellet to the seed. This treatment is ideal for those instances when exacting seed placement and plant spacing are not a primary concern.
